東京郊外の単身向けマンションとして計画した。各住戸にはまず専用の半屋外のテラスにアプローチしてそこから内部空間に入るという形式にしている。半屋外のテラスは屋根付きの物干し場となるだけでなく、風を感じるプライベートなリラックス空間として様々な活用が期待される。その代わり、道路側に面してバルコニーは設けていない。そのため典型的なマンションのように洗濯物が道路側に露出するということはない。壁面は木毛セメント板を白で染色した仕上げとした。素材感と抽象性を併せ持ったすっきりとした居住空間となった。

The flat is planned in Kanagawa Prefecture, where one sister will live separately from the other.
The planned site is located at the turn-off point of a parabolic slope from the station.
The sister lives on the ground floor and moves rightwards from the entrance to the living room and bedroom. The exterior of the building is planned to follow the line of the existing Mazi stone, and the roof and exterior walls are made of ‘soil’ hardened with a special solvent to create an integrated finish without distinction. As the building ages, grass and moss will grow on the exterior walls and roof, and the aim is for the building to become more like a naturally formed small mountain than a building. The idea was not to think of ageing as a negative thing, but rather as a positive change that blends in with the environment.
