• 都内でも独特な雰囲気がある街、杉並区阿佐ヶ谷で計画された共同住宅である。
  まわりの建物の街並みをできるだけ崩さないように高さを抑えつつ3層を確保した。建物は3棟に分割し、台形の敷地に対してハの字広がるように配置することで、南側の道路に開くような中庭を残した。ここの敷地には、以前、緑豊かなお庭があった。その中の樹木を工事中は移設して、建物完成後この中庭に戻した。中庭は開閉できるゲートで道路につながっており、住民の方々のための快適な環境となるだけでなく、近隣の方々も参加するフリーマーケットなどのイベントスペースとしても活用できる。中庭の緑はこの建物の住民とともに少しずつ根付き、花開いていくことを期待している。
  
  This is an apartment complex planned for Asagaya, Suginami Ward, a town with a unique atmosphere in Tokyo.
  Three storeys were secured while keeping the height as low as possible so as not to disrupt the streetscape of the surrounding buildings. The building is divided into three buildings, which are arranged in a ‘C’ shape on the trapezoidal site, leaving a courtyard that opens onto the road on the south side. There used to be a lush green garden on this site. The trees in it were relocated during construction and returned to this courtyard after the building was completed. The courtyard is connected to the road by a gate that can be opened and closed, providing not only a pleasant environment for the residents, but also an event space for flea markets and other events in which the neighbourhood can participate. It is hoped that the greenery in the courtyard will gradually take root and flourish together with the residents of this building.
